Relief

Relief is a sculptural imprint—formed by slumping sheet glass over an original architectural ornament from a historic building in Copenhagen. Through heat and gravity, the glass takes on the shape of the underlying relief, capturing its surface in a new material language.

The work explores how form can be transferred, preserved, and reinterpreted through glass. What was once carved in stone now re-emerges as a translucent echo — soft, fragile, and open to light.

Relief is about memory made physical. A moment of contact between past and present, where glass becomes both surface and story.
